I almost hate that so many new movies are coming out in IMAX 3-D. Up to now everyone going to the movie theatre was experiencing the same movie, even if they didn't have a digital TV and blueray player at home. Now we will never know what we are missing and maybe wish we had shelled out the extra money. With IMAX it's not just the 3D but also the screen size, sound quality, etc.

There's nothing wrong with staying home with a book! You could even read the original Alice in Wonderland. If you're curious about the movie, see a matinee. I love the art and the environment. The story is the biggest problem, but if you aren't watching the movie for the story, it's very enjoyable.

It was an ok movie. Definitely too dark for littler kids. I wish I would have saved my money and just seen it on regular screen. The 3D was not work the extra money.

Ouch...I liked the movie. Not spectacular, but I'd give it 3-3.5 stars out of 5.

But I'm not a big Tim Burton fan. So maybe that has something to do with it.

Oh, no dispute: Johnny Depp is still a good actor. Tim Burton is just banking on the fact that people like his dark and twisted way of looking at life and has either grown lazy or is simply uninspired anymore. One might even consider Alice in Wonderland a sell-out on his part. I don't fault the actors in this one bit; they did the best with what they had. They just didn't have very much to work with.

I found the pacing to be a little slow at times but I enjoyed the film. The reveal of Whitacre's character and motives were funny at times. Speaking of funny, the sheer number of comedians and comedic actors cast in straight roles was uncanny. I was suprised to see both Smothers Brothers!

I thought Matt Damon and Scott Bakula were both good, but the story didn't hold my interest at all and I ended up turning it off maybe half way through.

We just got Showtime at my house. I'm really looking forward to watching Weeds and United States of Tara. But it's still nice to know that the library carries these 2 series for those who don't subscribe. I also love Toni Collette.

There are probably too few opportunities for black actors - especially those who aren't 30 years old any more. "Men of Honor" was a good role. And I see on IMDB that he will be starring in a new George Lucas/John Ridley collaboration entitled "Red Tails" that is "the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American pilots to fly in a combat squadron during World War II."

Evem more powerfull than wall or saber rattling, is one of the most powerfull mediums of all, a live and in person Humane Voice with direct face to face 4D access and display.

It will be interesting I think to discover the impact of Holographic Imaging which may not be too far off in these ever accelerating and expanding markets of mediums and messages.

And perhaps no 'dorky' lenses will be required to to scoff at.

@MediaPhile@evpl: I agree it's the message that counts...but a 50" plasma TV w/wall-rattling surround sound makes the message more powerful. :)
